Program Overview

Buenos Aires is a big city in a big country. Famous districts like San Telmo and La Boca are vibrant, exciting places with unique architecture, inexpensive restaurants and cafes, and great nightlife. The culture and traditions of Buenos Aires, an exhilarating mix of Latin American and European influences, wait to be explored.

The Universidad de Belgrano is situated in a quiet residential area, and offers easy access to the rest of the city via public transportation. Cosmopolitan Buenos Aires is truly one of the great cities of the world! Students participating in the CCIS Buenos Aires Summer Program will take a 4-week course in intensive Spanish language with the option to enroll in multiple sessions. All levels of Spanish proficiency are welcomed!

Student Life

Interaction with locals and with other international students is key to a successful study abroad experience. Many campus activities, e.g., Noche Internacional, showcase UB's strong international student program. Joining a student club or sports team is a great way to meet local students--soccer, running and yoga are just a few options. Attending concerts, trying the tango, or spending a lazy Sunday afternoon picking through the colorful streets and flea market of San Telmo are just a few of the possibilities. There's so much to discover in and around Buenos Aires-one can even visit neighboring Uruguay for the day!

Housing

Homestays allow students to further develop their language skills outside of a classroom setting and increase their understanding of modern Argentine culture. The assigned host family is likely to live within easy reach of the university in a pleasant, secure neighborhood; the daily commute will be no more than a short bus ride or a reasonable walk. The home might be found in a century-old heritage structure or a contemporary apartment building. The program fee includes a private room with two meals per day (breakfast and dinner).
