Located on Australia's Gold Coast, Bond University is an hour's drive from Brisbane, with easy access to attractions such as the Great Barrier Reef, some of the world's finest beaches, and the large rain forest areas of the north. Bond University divides its schedule into trimesters. International students take a minimum load equivalent to three or four subjects per trimester. This translates into 12-16 credits per trimester. All students have access to internet facilities, e-mail, and computer networks; and facilities include a medical center, bank, restaurants, and a sporting complex, which has an Olympic-size swimming pool. There is a host of activities held on and off campus, organized by the University’s active sporting and recreation clubs. For the active types, there are competitive teams and others just in it for the fun in a wide range of sports. There are more than 40 cultural and special interest clubs, ranging from the seriously cerebral to the sublimely silly. Students have the opportunity to participate in team sports and student organizations ranging from the drama club to equestrian riding. Or you can just rock up to the regular on-campus barbeques and live band nights.
With a variety of housing options, there is something to suit most students’ preferences. With the rich diversity of students and exciting community life, many students prefer to live in the comfortable and secure accommodations on campus. Bond offers a great variety of on-campus accommodations including motel-style rooms, twin share accommodation, single rooms (with shared amenities) and bungalows. All rooms on-campus have air conditioning and come with 14 meals per week. Off-campus accommodations offer rental housing in apartments, units and house styles all within a short distance to the University campus. Utilities, telephone and internet connection are extra and you are usually expected to pay a rental bond which will be equivalent to 4-6 weeks rent.
