Academics & Program

The Study Abroad Programme at Edge Hill is a short programme for students who wish to study in the UK at Edge Hill University for one or two semesters. Students remain enrolled at their home institution and will achieve UK credit at the end of their studies at Edge Hill to transfer to their home institution degree programme.

Course Offerings
Most undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) are open to Study Abroad students. We also offer courses in the Faculties of Health and Education.
You select your own programme of study (subject to availability of courses and timetabling constraints).
You should select classes that:

We will advise you about your selections and will not approve classes that are inappropriate for you. When necessary we liaise with academic advisors at home campuses to ensure that students meet the prerequisites for Edge Hill University classes.
Students should visit Edge Hill University Study Abroad Catalogue to review course offerings that are most current and course credit information.
Selections are reviewed by the academic coordinator at Edge Hill prior to departure. During the semester, the coordinator will monitor your performance to ensure that you have a successful academic experience.

Adventures abroad

Amy Reynolds

"Studying abroad at Edge Hill was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The people I met there, the friends I made, the experiences I had, the things I learned, the places I traveled, and the memories I created will stay with me forever. I love England more than I could have ever imagined, and I wish I could go back there this instant. Definitely take advantage of this amazing opportunity--you'll never regret it."

Kara Burden

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Edge Hill. The experiences that I have gone through compare to nothing else that I have ever dealt with in the past. I have not only learned a lot about myself but about the world around me. I feel so lucky to have been able to study in another country and learn the customs and ways of a new land. I have made many new friends and tried things I never would have imagined before. I would recommend this experience to anyone who is looking into and look forward to sharing my stories with everyone back home. This has been the most interesting and fun semester of my entire college experience and am sad to have to leave. I only wish I could stay longer because I am having the absolute best time here."
