DIS – Study Abroad Scandinavia, founded in 1959, has 50 years of experience in offering high quality study abroad programming in Copenhagen, Denmark taught in English for upper-level U.S. undergraduate students. In the 2016-2017 academic year, Stockholm was added as a location due to high demand for DIS programs. DIS is a non-profit educational foundation governed by an external board of directors. It is tuition driven, but receives a subsidy from the Danish government.
In Sweden, modernity meets tranquility. Trend-setting restaurants and vibrant nightclubs next to idyllic architecture. Your semester abroad will be peaceful and beautiful in the picturesque Swedish capital, and the most populous city in the Nordic countries. The city is spread across 14 islands by the Baltic Sea. Stockholm is the cultural, media, political, and economic center of Sweden. Your term in this important global city will allow you to earn credit towards your CSI degree while exploring the host city of the annual Nobel Prize ceremonies. You can travel around the city using well decorated Stockholm metro, the longest art gallery in the world.
