Program Overview

Known as the 'city of sails,' Auckland is an excellent location to study for city and ocean lovers. New Zealand's largest cosmopolitan city, Auckland is an urban environment within close proximity of beautiful beaches, hiking trails and several stunning holiday islands. It offers a sub-tropical climate and fosters a passion for outstanding culinary delights, good wine and shopping.

Massey University in Auckland

Based on the North Shore of Auckland, the Massey University Albany campus with 7,000 students was established more than 15 years ago in one of the North Shore's fastest growing areas. The campus offers modern, Spanish-architectural styled buildings with friendly students and staff, state-of-the-art facilities, and a unique atmosphere highly conducive to study. Downtown Auckland is a short ride across the Auckland harbor bridge.

Course Offerings

Course offerings (called Papers) at Massey University can be found at the Massey Program course search. Subjects offered on the Auckland campus include: Business Design Education Engineering Food Technology Fundamental Sciences Mathematics and Information Sciences Social Sciences Academic Highlights Massey Auckland offers 70 majors and a number of specialized programs.

Classes are taught by leading lecturers and researchers to give you an academic and professional edge. The campus at Albany offers a unique learning environment, with modern facilities and services to support your learning.

National Expedition and Internship

Creative Expression & Digital Media is the newest track of our six-week Northern Hemisphere summer programme.  It is running for the first time in 2017 alongside our Agriculture & Environment, Communication & Marketing, and Disaster Risk & Emergency Management tracks.  We expect to offer all four tracks again in 2018. Costs Included:  tuition, fees, CISI insurance, New Zealand student health insurance, Student Services Levy

Costs Not Included: room and board (costs depend on housing and meals or "catering" options student selects), books (estimate of 500 New Zealand dollars per term), laundry, personal expenses, local transportation

All application materials must be completed through the online application and/or received at Montana State University by these dates.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must have at least a 2.8 GPA and have sophomore status to be eligible for the program. Community college applicants must have completed the requirements for an associate's degree before the start of the program.

Refund Policy

31 or more days prior to first day of orientation:  100%  (minus $400.00 deposit)
30 days or less prior to first day of orientation:    75%  (minus $400.00 deposit)
After departure but prior to first day of classes:   50%  (minus $400.00 deposit)
After first day of classes any refund will be determined after consultation with host institution.
