Program Overview

The Massey Wellington campus is known as the creative campus and is fitting for the culture and lifestyle of the residence of the Capital city. Wellington is the geographical, political and cultural centre of New Zealand. It is located between a beautiful harbor and rolling green hills and offers an unforgettable city experience in a natural setting. Wellington has excellent shopping, professional theatre and cafes and restaurants. The central city is only two kilometers wide so it can be explored easily on foot.

Massey University in Wellington

In the heart of the city is the Massey University Wellington campus with a population of approximately 4,500 students. The program focuses on six broad areas: Communication, Journalism, Business, Engineering & Technology, Health & Well-being, and Creative arts.

Course Offerings

Course offerings (called Papers) for Massy can be found at Course Offerings Massey. Subjects taught in Wellington include: Business Fashion Design Health Science Journalism Studies Music Photographic Design Product Design Engineering

Academic Highlights

The School of Design at Massey is New Zealand's oldest (established in 1886) and most prestigious design school and has a reputation for excellence in international quality art and design education.

National Expedition and Internship
Creative Expression & Digital Media is the newest track of our six-week Northern Hemisphere summer programme.  It is running for the first time in 2017 alongside our Agriculture & Environment, Communication & Marketing, and Disaster Risk & Emergency Management tracks.  We expect to offer all four tracks again in 2018. Student Life

Student life is not just about studying and so Massey provides you with a range of indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural and leisure programmes through the Recreation and Student Association Centres at each campus. Wellington is New Zealand 's capital city and a great place to live. The Wellington campus is centrally located near the city's artistic and entertainment quarters of Cuba Street and Courtenay Place.

Costs Included: tuition, fees, CISI insurance, New Zealand student health insurance; arrival airport shuttle if arranged ahead

Costs Not Included: room and board (costs approximately 5,800 New Zealand Dollars for on-campus apartment with no meal plan, homestay, and private rentals also options), books (estimate of 500 New Zealand dollars per term), laundry, personal expenses, local transportation

All application materials must be completed through the online application and/or received at Montana State University by these dates.

Eligibility Requirements

Minimum GPA: Students must have a 2.8 GPA 
Minimum Standing: Students must have at least sophomore standing
Submission Requirements: Community college applicants must have completed the requirements for an associate's degree before the start of the program.

Refund Policy

31 or more days prior to first day of orientation:  100%  (minus $400.00 deposit)
30 days or less prior to first day of orientation:    75%  (minus $400.00 deposit)
After departure but prior to first day of classes:   50%  (minus $400.00 deposit)
After first day of classes any refund will be determined after consultation with host institution.
