"I think my time in Spain was something that I will never forget! I absolutely loved the atmosphere and that I had the chance to live in a different country and experience something other than America. Sevilla really made strides in my Spanish. I learned new things and got clarification of other things. I loved how I was in an area where I was forced to speak Spanish rather than go back and forth by asking questions in English. Not only did my Spanish improve, but my ability to be independent. At first it was hard to be so far away from my family, but after the first week I became a new person.
"Spain for me was one of the best experiences I've had abroad. Not only did I have the chance to explore the beautiful city of Seville but it was also very educational. Then, studying abroad allows you to travel to other countries where you might not have otherwise been able to visit. During my stay I visited Lagos, Portugal and Morocco, Africa which were both totally different experiences but nonetheless amazing! Also, I was able to learn so much about the culture of Spain; I became a fan of soccer (futebol) and got to see my first bullfight (not a fan) but very cultural. I absolutely love the food and how healthy and fresh everything was. My host family was very caring, helpful and patient when it came to helping me with my Spanish. Finally, studying abroad can open your eyes to the many wonders of the world. I promise you it will be one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life. I encourage everyone to travel; get a passport, take a summer off and explore the world. There are lessons you can't get out of a book that are waiting for you at the other end of that flight."
