"Spain for me was one of the best experiences I've had abroad. Not only did I have the chance to explore the beautiful city of Seville but it was also very educational. First and foremost studying abroad is the ideal way to learn another language, you are surrounded by the language on a daily basis (esp. if you have a host family). Then, studying abroad allows you to travel to other countries where you might not have otherwise been able to visit. During my stay I visited Lagos, Portugal and Morocco, Africa which were both totally different experiences but nonetheless amazing! Also, I was able to learn so much about the culture of Spain; I became a fan of soccer (futebol) and got to see my first bullfight (not a fan) but very cultural. I absolutely love the food and how healthy and fresh everything was. My host family was very caring, helpful and patient when it came to helping me with my Spanish. Finally, studying abroad can open your eyes to the many wonders of the world. I promise you it will be one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life. I encourage everyone to travel; get a passport, take a summer off and explore the world. There are lessons you can't get out of a book that are waiting for you at the other end of that flight."
"Searching for words that can justifiably describe my study abroad experience and the best word I could come up with is AMAZING! I am so grateful to have been able to experience an opportunity of a lifetime. Thank you Broward College for adding this chapter to the story of my life and working so hard to keep this program available to students. Living in Spain has opened my mind to new experiencs and has given me a renewe perception of life. I arrived in Spain without any prior knowledge of the spanish language and thanks to my amazing professor I am able to communicate using the Spanish language. I learned so much in only a month that I was able to travel to Aracena, Spain by myself and navigate using only Spanish. Not only did I learn the language, I also learned awesome historical facts about Spain most importantly Seville. I recommend this program for anyone who is willing to study abroad and learn a totally different culture."
