The cost of the standard summer program covers three credits. An additional course can be taken at an additional cost. Please contact for more details on this option. Some courses may have pre-requisites. Please note that course offerings are subject to change due to insufficient enrollment, staff changes, and other factors, up until the Add/Drop date of each semester or term. 

Transcripts are issued by UNYP, which is an officially recognized private higher education institution in the Czech Republic. Please work with your advisor to get credit approved and determine transferability of credit to your home school. And contact us if you need more help. A sample UNYP trascript can be viewed here

Student Life & Housing

Program cost includes accommodation in one of a few different student residence options. Students will be placed into housing by UNYP and placements will be made according to availability of rooms. All residences are in a close proximity of UNYP (5-15 minutes via public transportation or within walking distance).

Housing is in furnished double rooms and may share a bathroom with another double room. Each room has bed, linens, pillow, desk, chair, and bureau. Towels are NOT provided. Students have access to a shared kitchen in a common area and laundry facilities. 

Residences all have free Wi-Fi.

UNYP offers a variety of weekday evening activities each term, including scavenger hunts, sunset walks, visits to key parks, etc. that bring students together in informal social contexts. 

UNYP Campus
UNYP’s campus is situated in Vinohrady - a quiet, upscale neighborhood in central Prague. Facilities combine 19th-century architectural charm with 21st-century teaching and technology, and a full university administration dedicated to supporting students. The library houses textbooks and study materials, as well as an online database access system.

Health Care & Services
Counseling services are available free to charge to all students through UNYP's confidential Counseling Center.
All students receive CISI travel insurance.

Get Involved
Student clubs offer the opportunity to get involved outside of the classroom and to make an impact on the Czech community.

Payment: Payment will be collected by CCIS Central Office

Withdrawal Policy:
31 OR MORE DAYS PRIOR TO FIRST DAY OF ORIENTATION: 100% (minus $400 deposit)
30 days or less prior to first day of orientation: 75% (minus ($400 deposit)
After departure but prior to first day of classes: 50% (minus $400 deposit)
After the first day of classes: No refund thereafter.
Deposit: $400 due 2 weeks after acceptance, applied to total program cost and non-refundable

Costs included:  Tuition for three credits (or 6 if the 2 course option is selected), housing, health insurance, pre-departure orientation, on-site orientation, airport pickup on designated arrival day, city transportation pass, transport to housing, and weekday activities.

Costs not included: Meals, airfare, books, personal expenses, additional three-credit course.

Minimum GPA:  3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Minimum class standing:  Completed a minimum of 1 semester at a college/university level prior to departure
